Mrs. Singletary's, Ms. E's, Mrs. Lopez's, and Mrs. Shannon's kindergarten class made exploding apples. We have been learning how to spell and identify our color words, and what better way to practice them than to mix colors and have them explode.

Mrs. Hanson and Mrs. Renfroe’s classes are off to the races to learn about C.E.R. in science. After posing the question, “Who is the fastest runner in our class?”, students raced outside, then used their results to state a Claim, back it up with Evidence, and provide solid scientific Reasoning. 🧠 🏃‍♂️📊

Spirit Store start is postponed one week as we have not had enough completed volunteer background checks submitted to staff the Store. We hope to see you on Aug 22! Thank you for your support!

Ms. Swopes’ 2nd grade class powered through their first week with energy and excitement. We spent time building friendships and learning that family isn’t just at home—it’s here in our classroom too. After reading Our Class is a Family, students each made a special promise to help our class family grow strong. We linked our promises together into a chain—because in our room, we’re all linked like family!

PTO Meeting Thursday at 6:00 PM!

Coach Adam Carter is hand-delivering special, complimentary tickets to all elementary schools to be distributed to students for the first game of the season! Be on the lookout for these tickets so your student can cheer on the Vikings!

Tickets give free admission to one elementary student on the visitor side of the stadium in sections O and P. The complimentary ticket is only good for Friday, August 15th, and students must be accompanied by an adult.

Kindergarten Parent Meeting!!

Miss Flythe’s 2nd graders have been learning all about back-to-school graphing, and today they put their skills to the test using Skittles! 🍬📊 Students created colorful bar graphs to practice organizing and interpreting data—sweet, hands-on learning at its best! 🌈✏️📚

Mrs. Renfroe and Mrs. Hanson’s classes kicked off the year in science by teaming up to explore the characteristics of a scientist—working together to “give” their scientist these important traits. By adopting qualities such as being brave, educated, determined, and inquisitive, students are set for a year of discovery and growth as true scientists! 🧪🔬🌟
