April is the month of the Military Child!

The staff and students of Dewar Elementary School want to say a very special thank you to the paraprofessionals who serve our school. The paraprofessionals of Dewar play a crucial role in our education system, from providing classroom support to assisting students with special needs. We want to celebrate and honor the invaluable contributions of these dedicated individuals. Each day, they bring compassion, skill, and enthusiasm to their work. We are happy to have the opportunity to recognize their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Today, they enjoyed a much deserved duty free lunch in the Media Center and received a gift card compliments of Red Owl Coffee! We love you Dewar Paraprofessionals!

There is a mathematician Among Us! 🧮 Fourth graders had SO MUCH FUN reviewing our decimals standards with an intense gamified review. 🕹️🎮 Each student was assigned a role as a crewmate…or IMPOSTOR! 😏
Collaboration and communication was key in completing math tasks as our impostors tried to sabotage our ship! 🪐🚀In the end the crewmates prevailed and displayed mental fortitude in completing each task despite the actions of the impostors.⭐️ #dontbesus #mathisoutofthisworld #fourthgrademath

Ms. Herman’s Pre-K went to their 5th grade buddies in Mrs. Eidson’s class to help them study for social studies by reading their notes to Pre-K and showing them how to use Chromebooks!
