April is the month of the Military Child. It is a time for us to recognize the service, contributions, and sacrifices made by the children of our military families. This nationwide commemoration was established in 1986 by former Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger. Dewar Elementary School is proud to have over 200 military-connected youth as part of our student body. We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community, and recognize their strength and resilience. This page will be updated daily to spotlight a military child/family throughout the month of April as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child. Thank you for your service!
