Lowndes High FCCLA competed, networked, and had a blast at the National Conference in Seattle, Washington in July! Rachael Adair took Silver in Fashion Design and was presented at our state meeting as a new Region 8 officer! We are so proud of all she has accomplished. Our 9th grade honors Algebra students are mastering polynomials! Last Friday, they put their skills to the test by collaborating in review stations. Not only did they tackle challenging problems, but they also stepped into the shoes of a teacher, analyzing student work and providing valuable feedback. @OneLowndes #BetterTogether

AP Psychology students are demonstrating their knowledge by making a 3D model of a neuron for our Biological Bases of Behavior unit. @OneLowndes

Lowndes High School is hosting a Community Resource Fair for all Lowndes County Schools life skills families on August 20th from 5:30-7:30. This is a drop-in event. Join us to learn more about resources available to people with disabilities in South Georgia.

Congrats to the 2024 @CollegeBoard’s National Recognition Program awardees! We are excited to honor our students and acknowledge their impressive accomplishments. We commend their academic achievements both in the classroom and on College Board assessments such as the PSAT. These students have earned a GPA of 3.3 or higher and are among the top 10% of PSAT test-takers in Georgia, qualifying them for multiple award programs. @OneLowndes #BetterTogether

Is your high school student looking for community service opportunities? LHS Impact Club is holding an Interest meeting this Monday, Aug 19th, at 7:40 am in C307. All students are welcome and should make plans to attend! Returning members can scan the QR code to pay their membership dues and purchase a t-shirt (optional).

The PSAT will be given at LHS on October 9th. This is free for 10th graders but you must register. The test is also available for 9th and 11th graders for a fee of $18. See flier to register.
