School Social Work
School social workers bring unique knowledge and skills to the school system and the student support team. School Social Workers are mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators.
School social workers support students, families, and teachers in addressing additional concerns such as abuse and neglect, emotional struggles, economic problems, substance abuse, truancy, or anything else affecting academic performance. Understanding the importance of working together, our school social workers work with families to offer support and enhance communication between the school and family.
