As the Director of Data & Accountability, I serve as the liaison between the school system and the GaDOE in matters regarding the reporting of FTE data. State funding for systems is generated from FTE data reported based on student enrollment and the educational services provided.
Responsibilities within this department include:
Coordination, collecting, consolidating, verification, and transmission of all data required by the DOE from all Lowndes County schools for all levels of reporting
Working closely with program and department directors of Student Information, Human Resources, Federal Programs, and Curriculum and Special Education departments regarding available programs. Work with individual schools to ensure we are adhering to state regulations while establishing efficient processes, schedules, and timelines to ensure accurate and timely data and that we maximize FTE earned.
Acting as liaison between local, state, federal, and other governmental agencies, ensuring that our district data is compatible and maintained in accordance with required database formats…for instance, Civil Rights and Federal Impact Aid
Providing system projections in terms of enrollment and class size, coordinate with school administration and support staff to identify and correct reporting errors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
