Lauren Odom is the Director of Public Relations for Lowndes County Schools. Mrs. Odom, a native of Valdosta, is a two-time graduate of Valdosta State University, earning her Bachelor's in Communication Arts with an Emphasis in Public Relations followed by a Master's in Communication Arts. 

Before joining the Viking family, Mrs. Odom was employed by the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce where she served as the Communications & Marketing Director for two and a half years. 

Mrs. Odom is in charge of communicating to the public on behalf of Lowndes County Schools. She is also the coordinator for programs such as Community Partners in Education (CPIE), the Lowndes Education Improvement Foundation (LEIF), Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Georgia Scholarship Program and Teacher of the Year.
