Digital resources are reviewed by the Teaching and Learning, Technology, and Information Technology departments for their instructional value and commitment to protect student data and privacy.  Software vendors who are signatories to the Student Privacy Pledge are designated by SPP below.

Adobe Spark Adobe Spark for Education is an online tool that enables students to express themselves via graphics, web stories and narrated videos. District Supported
Annotate Annotate is a cloud based HTML5 web app that transforms your chromebook or mobile device into a whiteboard tool. Approved for Use
Book Creator A tool to combine text, images, audio, and video to create interactive stories, digital portfolios, research journals, poetry books, science reports, comics, etc. SPP Approved for Use
Braining Camp Digital manipulatives for instruction of K-5 students. Approved for Use
Brainpop This program is used by elementary teachers and students for academic tutorials. SPP District Supported
CK12 CK-12 provides a variety of open education resources in a Flexbook format. CK-12 also provides physics and chemistry simulations and a variety of math and science resources, including PLIX (Play Learn Interact and eXplore) modules, adaptive practice, and study guides SPP Approved for Use
Class Dojo ClassDojo is a classroom behavior management and rewards program. SPP Approved for Use
Clever Clever is an SSO (single sign-on solution) that allows students to login to instructional programs using their Google account or with saved credentials. SPP District Supported
Common Lit CommonLit provides 2,000 high-quality free reading passages for grades 3-12, complemented by aligned interim assessments. SPP District Supported
Digital Theatre Online platform for the study of performing arts Approved for Use
Duolingo An app and website for learning world languages through games and repetition. Use by students under 13 requires parent permission. Approved for Use
Edgenuity This program is used in the Lowndes Learning Center (LLC) at LHS and at the Lowndes Alternative Program (LAP) at Parker Mathis Learning Center. This program provides full-course credit for LLC and LAP students, as well as credit recovery for Lowndes High School students. SPP District Supported
Edmentum Study Island The program is used by teachers and students in elementary grades and middle grades. SPP District Supported
Edmentum Reading Eggs This program is used by teachers and students in elementary grades K-2. SPP District Supported
EdPuzzle EdPuzzle promotes engagement and student accountability by embedding questions in videos, including YouTube. SPP Approved for Use
Epic Epic provides an opportunity for students to fill all those little time gaps during transitions and time after work is completed. Teachers can curate collections of books based on units of study, curriculum products such as Curious About Words, and individualized collections based on student Lexile Level or interest Approved for Use
eSpark eSpark is an engaging, online program that provides K-5 math and reading instruction at each student’s level. With eSpark, teachers can assign leveled resources to easily target specific standards and skills. Students can also learn at their own pace on a personalized, adaptive pathway while you pull small groups. SPP Approved for Use
Failure Free Reading Failure Free Reading is a nationally recognized, proven non-phonic first reading intervention that accelerates the vocabulary, comprehension, expressive fluency, and confidence of students. District Supported
Flipgrid Flipgrid is a video discussion platform that enables students to create short videos to explore topics and to engage in discussions with classmates. Flipgrid includes access control and moderation tools for teachers. SPP Approved for Use
Flocabulary Flocabulary is utilized as an activator for lessons as well as for direct instruction and remediation. SPP Approved for Use

Ga Assesslets Assesslets are offered in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Assesslets provide information on how well students understand concepts and are able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in a particular content area or domain. They are formative tools aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence assessed on the Georgia Milestones End of Grade (EOG) and End of Course (EOC) assessments. Items within each Assesslet are designed to require extended reasoning and critical thinking beyond basic recall. Approved for Use

Google Lowndes County Schools has adopted Google’s G Suite for Education (formerly called Google Apps for Education) to provide free online communication and productivity tools for students and teachers. G Suite for Education accounts are created for all students in grades K-12. G Suite Apps include Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Drive, Google Sites, Google Keep, and Google Vault. iReady This is the universal screener used in the RtI process for middle schools. It is a K–12 adaptive diagnostic for reading and mathematics that pinpoints student needs down to the sub-skill level, and ongoing progress monitoring shows whether students are on track to achieve end-of-year targets. Approved for Use
iStation This program is used by elementary school students and teachers. SPP Approved for Use
IXL IXL combines a comprehensive K-12 curriculum, the Real-Time Diagnostic, personalized guidance, and actionable analytics to give you everything you need to personalize instruction and help students progress faster. SPP Approved for Use
Kahoot Kahoot! is a platform for creating and delivering quizzes for concept reinforcement. Approved for Use
Keyboarding without Tears Used by elementary teachers and students to build keyboarding proficiency. Approved for Use
Khan Academy Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. SPP Approved for Use
Literably Literably is a reading assessment for K-8 students that identifies A-Z reading levels, diagnoses skill gaps, screens students for reading difficulties, and monitors progress. Approved for Use
MobyMax MobyMax is a standards-aligned K–8 learning platform for math, literacy, science, and social studies equipped with adaptive tests, test-prep lessons, interactive whiteboard activities, and motivational tools. SPP Approved for Use
Nearpod NearPod is a tool that adds interactive questions and assessments into Google Slide Presentations to promote student engagement and to allow teachers to check student understanding “on the fly.” NearPod includes a library of interactive lessons from vetted sites. SPP Approved for Use
Newsela Instructional content platform that features differentiated high-interest texts in reading, science and social studies. It contains engaging activities that encourage close reading and bring lessons to life. SPP Approved for Use
Noteflight Noteflight is a web-based program that allows students to be creative by creating and arranging music. Approved for Use

Performance Matters This program is primarily used by teachers to deliver online assessments. The platform will also serve as a data repository. SPP Approved for Use
Quaver Quaver’s Music Curriculum is a comprehensive, customizable, fully-digital program adopted for our music classrooms rather than using the traditional textbooks and cds. Approved for Use
Quizziz Quizizz is a web-based tool teachers use for quick checks and reviews. Students can answer at their own pace. The site includes a library of quizzes. Approved for Use
Renaissance Learning This program provides access to Freckle ELA and Math (elementary), STAR Early Literacy (elementary), STAR Reading (elementary), Accelerated Reader (elementary), and STAR Math (elementary). SPP District Supported
Seesaw SeeSaw is a tool that enables creation of portfolio of student work. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. SPP Approved for Use
Sight Reading Factory Web-based program for practicing sight reading and sight singing. SPP Approved for Use

Tinkercad This program enables students to create 3D drawings and projects for a 3D printer. Allowed with provision students sign up using the teacher's email and teacher creates class using the Invite Code for monitoring. Approved for Use
USA Test Prep This program is used by high school teachers and students in preparation for the EOC and other assessments. District Supported
Vocabulary.com Vocabulary.com teaches you words by systematically exposing you to a wide array of question types and activities that will help you understnad all the meaning and nuances of every word you're learning. Approved for Use
Write Reader Students using WriteReader (with or without the help of an adult) will hear letters and the sounds they make as they author their own books. The process allows them to become authors while learning to read by writing Approved for Use
Write Score This program provides formative literacy assessments aligned to grade-level standards. The assessments are built to look and feel like the state assessment students will ultimately take. The essays are scored and returned with an online data analysis summary and lesson plans and other resources to teach mastery. Approved for Use
XtraMath This program provides drill and practice on the basic counting or calculating strategies. SPP Approved for Use
Zearn This program closely aligns to the modules in Eureka Math and provides direct instruction and review on math principles. SPP Approved for Use
